I’m checking my 16yr old son into in-patient rehab for at least 30 days. These past two years have been a non-stop roller coaster that came to a boiling point last week. He’s been locked up for one week and I worked with the juvenile court to handle his this coming care to avoid the unsavory option they were presenting in a Memphis location.
I might have to refinance the home but this is worth it. It has been eating at the wife and the entire family. After these last 5-6 days in lock up he actually looks better already, we spent an hour yesterday with school officials setting up his catch up work during or after rehab and senior year classes/goals.
He’s positive/ upbeat and receptive, almost like a new kid. Crossing fingers, saying prayers and just going to keep supporting him.
This is another one of those things that really puts other things in perspective. It consumes life at all times.
