I was at the game tonight. Juwan Howard is incredible. Tonight was my first time seeing Juwan coach live. I love him. He’s always teaching these guys. Every moment he was teaching. He’s so engaged with every play. He never let a moment go by without teaching. He use refs as props to teach. He never once came off as demeaning. I’ve been to a lot of college basketball games over the years and even coached at the D-2 level for a while. Never seen what he did to that extent. Was really cool to see. I know this year has been frustrating but we are in good hands. He knows what he’s doing and is always correcting the right things. Right now our guys are being taught the right things it’s just not carrying over to game action. They do it for one or two plays then lack the discipline to carry it on.
After game Diabate looked like he wanted to kill someone. Our boys finished with fight. And fought in the handshake line. Hope this emotion carry’s over to Saturday.
