Picked up some notes about the team as it heads into summer workouts.

Here's what I was able to get:

- Continue to hear good things about the development of the defensive end room, especially on the back end of the depth chart. Derrick Moore and Josaiah Stewart are who they are, they're studs. Enow Etta is continuing to receive praise as we're told he's getting close to the 300-pound mark and is ripped and in really good shape. We're also told that the room is 'really deep' which bodes well for another strong group of players this season.
- Interior DL Trey Pierce is another guy who has gotten love recently. Is working hard on the field and in the weight room, as we're told that he's up to 320 pounds. Pierce is 'no joke'.
- We're told that Alex Orji is also putting in work in the weight room, spring roster has him 236 pounds, it wouldn't come as a surprise if that number is closer to 250 by the time the season rolls around. His legs are huge and will certainly help him as he is the most mobile QB on the roster. He is looked at as the leader in the clubhouse for the QB spot right now heading into summer, which shouldn't come as a shock.
- Jack Tuttle is starting to throw a little bit. He had offseason elbow surgery after the hit out of bounds last season that took him out.
- We keep hearing big proclamations about Jaishawn Barham. Now we're being told that he could be faster than Junior Colston was. "He's a stud."
- Not to be outdone, Ernest Hausmann is right there with Barham. Had a very strong spring and is looking to translate that into a big season.
- Jyaire Hill is the clear CB2, even before Waller left.
- Donovan Edwards is up to 225 pounds and it's visible. Just taking one look at him not in his jersey and you can tell he's put in the work this offseason. He's trusting his knee and he's been 'amazing'.
- Kalel Mullings is still RB2 but Ben Hall is not far behind him. He's been as advertised.
- Tyler Morris will be the primary target at receiver to start the season. Semaj Morgan simply ran out of gas towards the end of the season. Now in his second year, we're told he's in much better shape so he shouldn't be in a position to be ran down like he did in the Iowa game.
- The team is VERY close, we're told, and still that has drive and chip on its shoulder to go out and prove itself. Sherrone has the locker room together and the players would run through a wall for that guy. Wink has been nothing but a positive since his arrival, he's 'cool for an old guy' lol.
- Lou Esposito has been 'awesome,' people really like what he's been able to bring. Working hard in recruiting.

That's all I have for now.
