I have to be careful with my wording here as this is a sensitive situation and I don’t want to betray trust of my sources.
However, this might be the first “positive” update I have posted on this thing for quite some time.
We confirmed last night that a meeting between the regents and Warde Manuel happened yesterday, it wasn’t of the “emergency” variety and it didn’t happen last night as some hypothesized.
I can only describe this meeting as a very positive one, as everyone is officially up to speed about the NCAA investigation and the path forward.
I also can describe the meeting as a positive one for Jim Harbaugh, too. Remember last night when we discussed that the contract talks weren’t “rescinded”, rather tabled?
I expect that table to be revisited in the near future. I can’t speak on much more than that as I have sources to protect but I suspect you all can read between the lines here.
