so here is what I don't get. The IRS is notorious for hitting high profile cases, garnering publicity, and making everyone behind scared to death of being caught.
So why are THEY not going after these "pay for play" cases? In the Cam Newton situation, for example, the Dad received, what, $250,000? Fine...what would be the tax, penalty and interest in these unreported monies received?
Hit them THERE, with the worry that if you accept payola you light have serious IRS problems. Nobody seems afraid of that. Why?
