I'll be honest, I am expecting a remarkably better football team this year

Versus last year. I don't see how it's possible that the offense won't be much better. With a More reliable QB, much improved line play and a million times better scheming and calling plays to capitalize on what the defense is giving, I would be shocked if this offense didn't move the ball methodically down the field.

Obviously The defense should be great.

And the intangibles should also be a million times better....confidence, belief, time management, knowing when to get on refs (you won't have to scream "what the hell are you doing" at your TV 10 times a game.)

I really just don't buy everyone's softening of expectations.

I truly expect to see a remarkably improved football team In every aspect of the game, starting on Thursday.

Now, this does not mean I expect them to be a national contender this year...I agree it will take 2-3 years for them to really reach the potential of a Harbaugh team, but we will see improvement each week, and I would be stunned if we didn't win Thursday night.
