It seems in the past couple of years the Hot Boards have gone from a list of players with either specific Michigan interest or players Michigan has a very legit shot at, to a list of everyone Michigan has offered at the position that's not committed to another school.
For example: the current Hot Board for DL has 18 WDE and SDE prospects listed. That constitutes every player UM has offered (listed in the Rivals database) that isn't committed to another school at those two positions.
The Hot Boards used to be a good resource for sorting out those who had UM interest and those who did not. So when I see a guy like Austin Robertson listed on the Hot Board, who has a top 3 of Michigan State, Notre Dame and Ohio State, and hasn't listed UM among any group of favorites since February (or maybe earlier), I wonder why he's even put on this list.
It just seems the Hot Board could be pared down significantly. Not just players with an offer.
