My son is an 8 year old first year player for a freshman team. His position is running back and corner. I played back when I was in high school as a linebacker, Dline and Offensive guard so I have no clue on how to help him. He's skinny but he's one of the faster and younger kids on the team.

I watched a scrimmage yesterday and while he was at corner there wasn't wide receiver to follow so he kind of sits in a RB position and angles towards the QB. What are his duties? Is his main duty to contain that side? Who is he suppose to watch? The QB, RB or both?

Also, at RB I have no clue though I do have a playbook. I'll teach him a bit after work, but I don't know how he's suppose to run? All I know from high school is "get low"!. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
