Tough to make an NFL roster. Gardner didn't have elite speed or great hands. The next guy who is going to flop is Funchess. This stuff isn't personal. I appreciate both of these guys being good student athletes.
I said Burke would be a good solid backup in the NBA for 10 years. That happens to look about right. I thought he didn't have the elite athleticism or size to be a high end player. It isn't personal. Didn't think Morris was going to make it. Think Stauskas is going to be a solid 6th man role player. Tough to hang around in the pro's.
I do think Ryan has a chance to be a good NFL player in the right system. It just depends on the particular player and Gardner is not an NFL player...plain and simple.
