I know the topic of discount airlines, particularly Frontier, has been beaten to death over the years. It's just been so long since I flew that disaster of an airline that I forgot how hilarious they could be. Booked a 1-way flight to Detroit for the PSU game, which was only $119. But then they tried to upcharge me $28 to pick my seat. Not a priority seat, any seat. Ok. Then they tried to charge me $65 for a carryon. That's not new but the do not mean a roller bag or what you would typically consider a carryon sized suitcase. They made it clear that just a regular backpack was going to be a carryon that you have to pay for and not a personal item. But then the one that I had not seen was $10 for "agent assistance." If you need an agent's help for any reason--print out your boarding pass, or whatever, it's $10. Of course there was all kinds of other stuff with fees you had to opt out of--insurance, bundles, priority boarding, etc.
I'm sure I've been flagged because my cheap ass didn't buy any of the add ons.
