This team was just missing something. Teams come together with chemistry and sometimes things you just can't put your finger on. You had 2 guys leave a year ago (Both freshman ) and neither was ready . Neither has played much and 1 plays mainly G league. Dickinson would have left 2 years ago, except nobody wants him. Maybe Europe ? He made 1 clutch shot the whole year. His numbers look fabulous, but yesterday he all by himself lost that game. He missed a point blank layup with under a minute that would have put us up 10, then threw the ball away several times in the next 50 seconds. Watch every close game we played, he misses several layups and key free throws in all of them. Now we have 2 more ready to leave . Juwans oldest is a MAC player at best. Not his fault, but hes just a role player at power 5. Does anyone think his younger son is ready. Look at his body, hes not ready for an 80 plus game season. Either is Butkin, but thats the system. Once again hes got some talent coming in, maybe they will mesh with a transfer or 2 who knows. I am not defending the coach, but not blaming him either. This group of kids was just missing something, they were put in position to win most of those close losses, and somehow just could never make a play, or pull them out. Coaches, coach, but players need to execute. UNC ran into the same thing , pre-season #1 in some polls, and couldn't even make the tournament, in a down ACC year.
