I’m told Michigan’s assistant athletic director will meet with the baseball team tomorrow.
Those who are still on the roster — or in the portal to test the waters before a hire is made — are hoping to receive clarity & transparency about the coaching search. They want to know who the finalists are, as they should.
The team *probably* knows less about this situation than our readers do. One player reached out to me and asked that I keep him updated because “I know as much or more than he does.”
At the time of writing, there is still no meeting scheduled between Warde Manuel and the team. They clearly want to hear from him.
In conversation with someone involved with the program about where this process is at, they emphatically said, “Who knows at this point? Warde’s at that donor summit in New York. He’s not very concerned with the landscape of Michigan baseball right now.”
The show goes on.
