More Michigan players are entering the portal. Some are entering to keep their options open until a new coach is named so they can evaluate the situation before deciding what they're going to do. Regardless, more are coming.

I'm told by a program source that, as of Tuesday night, athletic director Warde Manuel hadn't talked to any of the returning players yet about the coaching search.

"Warde Manuel needs to figure it out quick. He hasn't talked to returners at all, which I find unsettling."

The Michigan baseball roster is more or less "on eggshells" waiting to hear what is going on with this search.

Jon Morosi reported Bobby Scales is a candidate now. Scales, a 44-year-old former pro who had 140 plate appearances for the Cubs, was involved in player development for pro clubs and is currently the VP of Sports Info Solutions.

From the SIS website:
"Sports info Solutions is dedicated to enriching and optimizing the decision making process for sports teams, sportsbooks and fans. VP of Baseball is responsible for advancing the future product, research and strategic direction for the baseball division at Sports Info Solutions. Drive new and maintain relationships with all of our current and future partners by understanding, engineering and providing best in class products that aid in the decision making process."

That's all I have for now.
