The link below goes to a page with the Pick-Em rules on it.

Pick the winners all the way through to the champion. Each round is worth a different number of points (1st round, quarter finals, semi-finals, and finals). There is a way to pick up some bonus points if you can correctly pick overtime games (up to three). All of this is outlined on the rules page.

Picks can be made until the first game of the tournament starts. Whether the pick made it in time is governed by the date and time stamp of the thread it's posted under.

Depending on how many people make entries I'll start making updates to the pick-em page around Tuesday (I'll start Monday if there are a lot of entries or may hold off until Wednesday if, as I suspect, there are a relatively small number of entries).

Good luck one and all.

So far in the tournament...

BU has defeated Yale 3-2 in overtime

St. Cloud has defeated MTU 3-2 in overtime

Minnesota Duluth is hammering Minnesota 4-1 in the 3rd with just 2 minutes left

Re: It's a final, Minnesota Duluth has crushed Minnesota 4-1 (nm)

Yeah we represented the BigTen well.

Oh well. On to next season. Funny that we could be the fourth best team in our own state.

The first days games are in the books. Results are as follows...

Boston University defeated Yale 3-2 (OT)

Minnesota-Duluth defeated Minnesota 4-1

North Dakota defeated Quinnipiac 4-1

St. Cloud State defeated Michigan Tech 3-2 (OT)

I've updated the Pick-Em to show the teams knocked out, but I haven't done any point totaling yet. I will add up the points for the first round after todays results are in. Then add up the points from the quarterfinals once tomorrows games are complete.

First round is complete. The first big upset has happened and the first...

team has punched their ticket to the Frozen Four.

In the Midwest #4 seed RIT defeated overall #1 seed Minnesota State Mankato 2-1 and UNO has defeated Harvard 4-1.

In the East Providence has defeated Miami (OH) 7-5 and Denver has defeated Boston College 5-2.

In the Northeast Boston University has advanced to the Frozen Four (in Boston) by defeating Minnesota Duluth 3-2.

One more game to play yet today, that SCSU vs North Dakota. That starts at 8 CT with North Dakota currently leading by a score of 2-1 (9:02 left in the 2nd)

I have tallied the points for the first round. Three of us are essentially toast, while the other three of our intrepid group battle it out to see who can pull out the win.

Final result of the day is in. North Dakota has joined Boston...

University in the Frozen Four, defeating St. Cloud State 4-1. First time North Dakota and BU have met since the 1997 Frozen Four which North Dakota won.

Providence takes the 3rd spot in the Frozen Four, ending Denver's...

season with a 4-1 victory. It was a very close game, the gap in the score was two empty net goals at the end. Providence scored the game winner with just five minutes to play in regulation.
