Michigan’s culture be it football or the school is entitled and the reason we are called Arrogant by many is — well — because many Michigan alums and fans are
heck — james earl Jones is his pre game video says “we are the best university in the world”
and the crowd cheers because well — perhaps that is true
can give you a Marine example (would hold true for Rangers - seals - f22 pilots - sub captains - etc...)
you can be arrogant - talk about your history since 1775 - say how tough you are - what a great shot you are etc....but when the battle starts you back it up
further when you lose you lose the right way
the marines at wake island lost - but they could never win - but they fought hard and kept fling until all the wildcats were gone and ammo was spent - they lived up to the ethos
real issue is the team has not lived up to the michigan ethos (they get the words and feel entitled to be michigan but don’t seem to get what it takes to get there)
that is the issue to fix in many fronts
in the fan front
you support the team that works so hard and the coaches and staff
critique me all you want - but I will never support mf ing the team in public - the best university in the world doesn’t do that
hold to a high standard yes
