1993 we lost 17-7 up there. we were dreadful and that Sparty team was average at best. a week later we beat a top-10 PSU team in State College.
of course that team had NFL talent on offense, including at QB. but still.
the 9-3 loss at Purdue in '96 comes to mind as a comparable game as well. a couple weeks after that we were celebrating a win in Columbus. '96 offense was no great shakes, although Dreisbach and Griese look like Montana and Young right about now.
