So this will be long , but what a great weekend ! Is there really any place better than M stadium on a nice sunny day ? I mean it rained like hell in the parking lot , but not a drop during the game with sunshine ! It is my anniversary weekend , and we had our 3 boys with us , and tailgated with my sister, her husband , their son( coach at Chelsea ) and his 2 boys. I parked in the Blue Lot and had a bunch of Maryland folks right next to us. Great conversation ( we are from Annapolis ) and after maybe 10 minutes the guy finally tells me he is Mark Canada, the Terps Head Coach’s Dad . This guy as really a great guy , really nice wife and maybe 15- 20 folks stop by to talk to them . He is a veterinarian from Indianapolis , and we had a long talk about what is going on at Maryland. He really feels bad as he thinks his son will get canned at the end of the year , along with everyone there. Before I knew who he was , I had said I thought they had a good team with talent , and that it could be a tough game for Michigan. It was a really nice conversation and it was really was neat listening to a Dad who was so proud of his son. Great family ......
The game. I am really mad about one thing. That is it is almost certain we will only have Shea for this year. This kid is getting better and better each game , and is really a treat to watch. The O Line isn’t all that good , but he keeps plays alive and truly makes those around him a lot better. Just think what another year with those receivers would be like ? I also gotta a taste of what an angry , semi drunk fan sounds like , when I think it was about the 3rd play that this guy sitting 2 seats away in Section 1 Row 49 , jumps up , screaming F bombs at Harbaugh , yelling what a BS offense we have , and how this was gonna be another F ing crap game. Thank God the idiot toned it down. Then it was nice , as I loved how the defense just dominated things , and how the offense really did some good things . Gentry was really good , Grant Perry made some plays , Collins with a nice grab and People’s Jones and Bellamy as well . I was really happy to see Wangler get his TD and loved the Ben Mason toughness . Higdon was decent and Tru ran hard. This offense is a work in progress , but you can reallly see it’s getting better and better . Clearly the Bucknuts look the part , but we should be able to play with everyone else . Can we make mistakes and still win ???? Probably not , but they play hard ......and the group is getting better each week . I still am frustrated with the ND game , but well it’s over , but I think if we played them now we WOULD win by 2 scores. So now we await Wisconsin .......I hope we get the W .
