Just learned about the Puss caterpillar and it is hardly its own name. Rather, this is one tough mutha! “Cute & fuzzy,” it almost encourages one to want to pet ‘em.
But according to University of Michigan experts, you do NOT want to touch the Puss. Causes extremely painful stinging and swelling. Don’t touch the barbs...apparently the idea is to use sticky tape to pull barbs out. The Puss is rated as the most venomous (poisonous?) caterpillar in the United States.
