I'm curious what people think. Do people think we would bring Speight back for a 5th year after having not played since the 4th week of this season (in a somewhat uninspiring fashion)? Part of me thinks he may have seen his last chance to start a game at Michigan if the coaches have confidence in Peters, McCaffrey, and the prospects coming in in 2018. At minimum, Peters and McCaffrey will likely see development gains from the increase in practice snaps/development while he is out.
I guess the question is whether or not the coaches believe he will be the best QB on the roster in 2018. Cant imagine they'd keep him around just to be a backup (provide quality depth) as a 5th year.....
