One week after beating #8 OSU, the women's team again put the Big Ten on notice with a 5-2 win over #7 NW. Won the doubles point, and then got wins from all 3 freshmen (Miller, Brown and Gala) along with a win from the 5th year senior Lommer. Miller continues to look better and better holding down that #1 spot, and Brown's frequent serve and volleys (a real rarity at the college level for women) has allowed her to be pretty dominant at the #5 spot.
Because of conference heavy scheduling this year, U of M will still play OSU and NW again, so they don't have the title wrapped up yet, but those really should be the only two Big Ten teams that can beat them unless they really have an off day. Still not entirely sure how good this team is, but they're definitely much better than the #26 that they are currently ranked.
