At 12:00 eastern, the women take on a top 10 Maryland team. The Big Ten title is out of reach, but a win here would give them a very good shot at landing a top 4 seed and a decent shot at sneaking into a top 3 seed. They get a 3 or 4 seed and I think they have a legit shot to make the Sweet 16 for the first time ever.
Can't say I feel great about this game though. Maryland isn't great defensively, but they score points by the boatload and I don't see Michigan being able to slow them down much. To win I think Michigan will absolutely need to find the 3 point shooting stroke they had back at the beginning of the season. Unfortunately, that stroke has been gone for over a month now. Or Brown and Hillmon could just go for 35 and 45 respectively and keep us in the game. That might actually be a more likely scenario.
