UM beats PSU by 20 points?
Yes, yes,...road game at a tough venue, at night, vs top ten opponent, vs B1G East defending champ, Heisman favorite at RB, Vegas favors PSU, etc.
But....
1) They run a finesse offense that D Brown defenses routinely chew up into mulch
2) They've shown zero physicality over the Franklin era
3) We may be underrated in a big way...lost starters is a powerful predictor, but betting against Harbaugh in year 3 feels like a fool's errand
4) Their offense improved a ton after our game last year, but their defense continued to struggle against physical competition.
5) We could have chosen whatever score we liked in last year's PSU game
PSU might turn out to be the real deal, we might turn out to be woefully mistake prone given our youth, and PSU might beat us. However, I don't think it plays out that way.
