Same reason I wanted the Celtics and Lakers to keep winning until the Pistons knocked them off.
Same reason I wanted the Avalanche to keep winning so the Wings could knock them off.
Same reason I would love to see Duke, UConn, etc. win the NCAA each year if it's not Michigan.

Don't need the wealth of championships spread around. I want UM to be the next NCAA national champion who hasn't won recently. Not Clemson, not MSU, not Oklahoma. Michigan. If we can't? Let Bama and OSU keep winning until we can knock them off.

If Bama brings their A game, they should win it all. Take Bama out of the equation, and anyone else could win this National Title.

That's just a really strange argument. You want the best teams to keep getting better, ensuring that even if you won one you would still be well behind those two programs as far as success? IF UM did win o a that would be their first mom co-championship in modern day era. Would still put you behind programs like LSU, Florida, Miami, Auburn, USC.

I'm ok with this.

Silly logic if you are a true UM fan. Why would you want OSU to keep winning NC? That makes no sense to me. We recruit against them, we keep track of our overall record against them, as well as how many overall championships in the Big Ten and on a national stage. It makes no sense at all for UM fans to want OSU to continue winning NC's.

Not an uncommon argument, in football and in other aspects of life. In other words, if backwater schools like Clemson and (fill in the blank), can win the championship, then that makes us look really bad; but if the gold plated brands wind up on top, then we have a decent excuse for not winning because, after all, we're all in the same class. And so, much better for OSU to win the championship than to see Sparty come out on top, which would be like a 10 handicapper coming out of nowhere to win the club championship. I don't buy it: would just as soon see someone win who's never won before.

I find it interesting that the reason UNC would not get the slot in the playoff is that they played two FCS teams. The reason they played 2 FCS teams is that OSU backed out of a game and left UNC having to find an opponent late. Sorry, I don't want to see OSU weasel into the playoff again. I want Iowa to win it all...
