Any head coach worth his salt wants to help his assistants leave their job for a promotion. Other assistants see that career trajectory and will want to come to work for Harbaugh as a result. No BIG championship this year combined with likely a middling bowl game appearance will be more than enough to motivate Harbaugh to make the necessary changes in the off season.
