Why do I want an iPhone 8?

I have a 7 Plus and drive a Macbook (so I only order complex coffee and look down upon all PC users...).

What feature in an iPhone 8 would have me drop a grand on it? I mean seriously, have these devices jumped the shark, McElwain style??
