Well unfortunately we did, just not Weis dollars. Even at the time in 2005 or so when Weis signed I thought that was an overreach, something like a ten year contract. ND is fortunate to rebound with Kelly, with all his faults.

Meh. He had one good seasons (where some players shouldn't have even played and won some really close games with questionable reffing) and then a bunch of 8-4 seasons and along those lines

He's a slightly better coach and a slightly worse recruiter. And ND seems to love him instead of getting a Meyer or taking a chance on Herman or fleck.
