Why are Michigan fans enamored with wide receivers relative to tight ends?

The NFL seems to recognize that tight ends are crucial to a good offense.

It seems that Michigan fans are more interested in receiver recruits and making them “happy” than tight ends.

Is this a function of the ratings system that seems to give more stars to receivers than tight ends? Something else?
