Who recruited Patterson initially from UM, and why did he go to Ole Miss?

Being a lifetime fan of the Maize and Blue, dreaming of playing on the Big House.....why didnt this great QB come here 3 years ago?

Besides the allure of whatever goes down in SEC recruiting, was there a documented reason?

Whatever it is, I’m sure happy he’s here now!!
