I feel it is a must win for many reasons.
1. You would never hear the end of it from Spartan fans about how we could only beat their 3-9 team and how we could not beat them after all the off seaosn turmoil losing top notch players to legal scandals, especially with the game being in Ann Arbor.
2. To retake control of the rivalry, you cannot just win one and then turn around and lose the next at home especially given the offseason departure of MSU's most talented players. We have to win more than our fair share and that starts with 2 in a row for the first time since 2006-2007 before the fall from grace.
3. Have to put them back in their place given all of the above
Now I think we do beat them handily by 2-3 TDs, although not as confident as I was before the season.
And psychologically given all of the above, it would be a setback to the fanbase and program to lose to MSU at home. Not that we would not recover, but a big setback none the less.
Your thoughts.
