Damn, if Kenny Allen wasn't the UM player of the game vs O$U. Absolutely money on FGs, several punts inside the 15, drilled kick offs, etc. I think Chris Patridge, if I have the special teams coach correct this year, deserves a lot of praise for stepping it up as a ST coach. We've had great play, aside from a mid-season brief slump, from every phase of these special teams.

Yeah, ST has been pretty good all year. What a turnaround by Kenny Allen, who was pilloried after the Wiscy game. Many thought he would end up costing us a game. Instead, it was the OL and some rickety play from the QB and WRs at times.

Excellent point. I know we've got a highly touted kicker waiting in the weeds but think about the job Allen has done the last 2 years.....and special teams as a whole. They basically put us in a position to win last year vs. MSU, & other than the Wisconsin game this season have been a checkmark in our column as to the unit that outperformed the opposition.

Will be a concern going forward next year.

Without Kenny Allen we likely lose to Indiana as well - he has been so clutch for us the last 3 games...even against Iowa. The entire first half against IU, he kept them pinned inside their 15 yard line. Major kudos to him...he's gone next year too so hope Nordin can step in appropriately. Other then our 5 missed FGs, special teams was awesome this year - probably one of the best I had seen. Only glitch, my 2 cents, was that Peppers fair caught too many balls in the 2nd half of the season.
