I am not talking about outstanding achievement as an athlete while representing Michigan. I am talking about any former Michigan student (even if for just a day) and that student‘s impact on sports history, be it as an athlete, coach, administrator or whatever.
I have divided the poll into two sections.
Part I focuses on former students who had subsequent success off the field, such as in coaching or administration. Some of them were also great athletes at Michigan.
Part II focuses on students who primarily excelled as athletes.
I will take the top performers from each poll and do a final combined poll in a day or so.
