didn't see Northwestern.

1. Iowa. Looked like a team that would finish .500 in the Pac 12. Anyone sense that Stanford was bored? I expected much more and it's not like Iowa should be flat. I know Stanford is good but Iowa was the outright winner of BT worst performance.

2. MSU. Say what you want...MSU played hard but was overmatched by Alabama. At least it looked like MSU was playing hard until the end (when I stopped watching early in 4th qtr). In fact...the game could have been 10-7 if I recall if not for a bad int. Competitive for the 1st half. More than I can say for the RB.

3. Northwestern. Didn't watch the game but I can just imagine the performance from the score and this is a team that got hammered by UM. I assume the point spread for at least 10 pts?

Iowa should be banned from going to the Rose Bowl because even back in the day when Iowa was a really good team in the Fry era they still got blown out.

I give northwestern the worst showing cuz tenessee couldnt win a division that florida won with 0 offense.

Pretty close between Iowa and MSU with maybe Iowa having a slight edge. That game was over in the first half of the first quarter. They are lucky Stanford took their foot off the pedal or else that game would have been even more lopsided.

I don't think anyone outside of Illinois or Tennessee even watched the NW-UT game.

NW truly sucked (I was watching 3 games at once). My vote is Iowa which never should have been in the RB. Did they show the halftime show on TV? The Stanford band really upset the Iowa faithful with a halftime performance dedicated to "Farmers Only.com" Couldn't have reached the level of Notre Dame's halftime performance that resulted in a banning of the band

The Iowa game was over in 10 minutes, it was that bad. At least the other two lasted into the second quarter. These BIG division alignments are going to be a problem for years to come.

Yep. That RB sucked. It was boring as watching paint dry other than maybe McCaffrey. Someone said it better than I did...Stanford took their foot of the pedal. I thought Stanford let up before the end of the 1st half.

Someone needs to tell Delaney that getting embarrassed in the Rose Bowl is bad for business. No matter how the Big Ten does in the Citrus bowl or some tier 2 bowls...it's the playoff game or the Rose Bowl that creates the perception of your conference.

76-0 at one point between those two main games. Spin that for me.

Worst showing by far was MSU because of the stage it was played on. It was a Playoff game and MSU could not manage to score a single point. For a team who's strength this year was an offense that boasts 4 NFL players (Burbridge, Cook, Conklin, & Allen) and about 2-3 other future NFL players in the making in future years they could not even muster a single point. That was the poorest showing by far purely because of the stage it was played on.

Iowa was pretty bad as well but honestly I think OSU and Stanford might have been the 2 best teams outside of Bama this year when they were on. They both had some terrible and dumb loss(es) that kept them from the playoffs so I don't think it's that bad that Iowa lost - Stanford could likely beat any team in the country on any given day including Alabama.

Northwestern just got hit by a freight train - similar to how Michigan managed Florida. That game just started to spiral out of control and the team pretty much just quit.

So in summary:
  1. Michigan State - biggest stage, big flop
  2. Iowa - big stage, completely overmatched
  3. Northwestern - should have stayed at home

OSU was playing the wrong bowl. MSU should have been playing the Rose.

Big Ten was weaker this year but had the wrong teams in the wrong bowls. In fact...UM in the fiesta would have been a good game. Iowa in the Citrus would have worked out well. Better games and probably the same win/loss record.

These conference tie-in's may be part of the problem. Locking in certain teams especially with the whole east/west structure.

The team that didn't score a single point in their bowl game.. In fact it's been 364 days since the Spartans scored in a bowl game..

They're a trivia question now:

Who was the ONLY team in the 2015-2016 bowl season that managed to score 0 points in their bowl game?

Or if you prefer

Who was the ONLY team to be held scoreless in the college football playoffs?
