After watching Livers and then Wagner carry the team in the first two games back from the layoff, I was trying to think of other UM forward combos that would be in the discussion as the most dominant.
I'm not great with pre-89, but I imagine that Vaught/Rice would top the list.
In the Beilein era Caris/GRIII in '14 might be the most talented but Caris was still developing and GRIII was playing out of position. Duncan/Mathews took UM to a title game. Mathews/Iggy and Wilson/Irvin were also really good.
For Fab 5 era, Howard/Ray Jackson could also be in the discussion but that's mostly because of Howard and he moved to the 5 in his best year as a junior. The back to back years with Ward, Taylor, Mitchell, and White looked dominant on paper, but that fell apart.
So where do Livers/Wagner belong on that list? Are they #2 behind only Vaught/Rice?
