in all sincerity gents, I don't ask that question to antagonize you if you were in the mob of folks calling for the change... I call it out as a matter of perspective.

Point being, 2-3 wks ago the sky was falling on Speight as our qb. Now it's clear the coaches had their reasons (happy feet, inaccurate, doesn't go through progressions, borderline cocky WRT arm ability). So... here we are, questioning the coaches yet again re: play calling, player development (specifically o-line). I'm guilty of it, too. I still don't understand why we threw so much in a monsoon, but had it worked, JH et al would have been geniuses. Selection bias. All that said, whether they got too cute or not, our coaches will forget more than most of us will ever know about football, so perhaps a bit of "chill the fck out" is in order for those calling for heads to roll.
All our goals are in front of us. I think we lose 2-3 more this year. Can't wait for 2018, many good coaches we know today had a great yr4, particularly if Mcaffery puts on some weight... our D with another yr of experience? Watch out. Just hope BC doesn't come for Don Brown with a ridic HC offer. (Yes, I know he shot that down, but JH also shot down UM rumors a wk before he signed)

Bottom line, Saturday stung. Good. It should. We learn more from defeat than victory. We have a legend as our head coach. Life is good and getting better.
