Watching youtube videos of old games and going through wikipedia pages of past UM seasons and saw we played AT Hawaii AFTER ohio state in 1998. I couldnt really find anything on why other than teams have done that in the past when they knew they were on a bowl ban or something like that to give the kids a trip but that wasnt the case with UM.
Seems so crazy, not only the idea of a road game against Hawaii but as the last game of the regular season???? I assumed it had been a century since osu wasnt the last game, especially the way the addition of the big ten championship game and the prospect of playing a non-bowl game after osu was treated as sacrilege by some a few years ago.
