That is terrible timing to look for coaches.
Most coaches will not consider a job at that juncture given that the final signing day is weeks away and a lot of their class is signed already.
My fear with waiting it out to save on the buyout is you could wait yourself into an interim coach. Or you overpay for a Mel Tucker (and who is willing to overpay in a Covid depressed economy).
