So it’s the day after our opening win. I read so many posts last night about Zac C I thought he was still on our team. During the week I also read a ton about Joe Milton.
Then today I read about a deleted thread ( I missed it ) that seemed to infer that the Mods were in some way rooting for Western to win ? I mean REALLY ?
Back to yesterday for a second. We did win didn’t we ? I know 6-8 teams in the Top 25 lost but thought we won. We also won pretty easily didnt we ? I also thought we ran the ball pretty well. The offense looked decent. The defense did as well against a decent QB ( no not Bryce Young or Spencer Rattler ) and the Special Teams were ok as well. But I am curious. What could the team have done yesterday that folks would NOT be bitching ? Explain it to me ? Many still bitched about Gattis. They bitched about Bell returning punts ( Woodson and Desmond were referred to among others )
They bitched about clock management prior to the half ( 3rd down play wasn’t smooth ) but do we know of ANY team that doesn’t ever have any kind of hiccup ( including Bama ).
Now to this week. Washington now is terrible. I mean they lost. To Montana. So they just suck. I mean 1 game tells us all we need to know about a team right ? We must beat them by say 4-5 scores for it to mean anything. Anything less is not acceptable. Hell maybe we will only be given a 1/2 Win for that.
I now know why Balas gets so frustrated. I am slow to learn , but so many of you are just absurd in many of the comments you make. I know this will send these posters off but I don’t care. Why do so many have to just bitch about anything and not be just content with an opening day win. No we aren’t Bama , OSU or Georgia ( leaving out Clemson as they lost ) or the KC Chiefs. But so many of you had us 5-7, 6-6 , or at best 7-5. You may be right. But we have 1 win. Next week hopefully number 2. Can’t you just be happy for 7 days and not be so critical ? Discussion is one thing. But to harp on every little miscue is another. So can we just try to be positive for a few days ? We aren’t going 12-0. so all you complainers will have several weeks to go nuts.
