Should we fear their offense? ow about their defense? Anyone? Any chance of them pulling off an upset? Any poster on this board planning to attend Saturday's game? I will be tailgating at Pioneer High school parking lot. Perhaps I will see you there. Look for the tall guy with a Tigers navy washed cap and wearing a Michigan leather tan varsity jacket with a big navy block "M" in the back.

It's really a simple formula. Stack the box against the run and put the offense into 3rd and 5+. RU's offense has been dreadful the past two weeks vs OSU and Wisconsin. Last year you guys did a very good job for 56 minutes against RU's RB's but Nova made up for it. As you likely know, he's gone as is Hoke lol. Not having Carroo for more than half the season has only highlighted the lack of any other true playmakers.

RU starts 3 freshman in the defensive backfield. After being thrown to the wolves because of the well publicized off field issues, they're getting better but will get beat too often. A large part of that falls on the shoulders of the pass rush which has been non existent with the 2 top DL's (Hamilton and Turay) injured. Rutgers has 2 very good LB's in Gause (#50) and Longa (#3) who I believe leads the nation in tackles but they can't do it by themselves.

There is still some hope the team can get to 6-6 but you'd have to look long and hard to find anyone who thinks one of those wins will come Saturday.

Here's hoping for a well played, injury free game.

Simply put Jake Ruddock at QB. "74

Carroo is a beast and a stud - he can get open for 2-3 TDs easily as he did against MSU. My fear level will be very high if we can not pressure the QB all day long because he will find Carroo streaking down and even Lewis won't be able to shut him down. If we can harass their QB, this game will be a blowout.
Either way it remains to be seen if we recover from the brain fart we had last week on defense where we could not make any plays work in our favor.

This Rutgers team has talent. However, they lack heart and the ability to close a game out. Rutgers reminds me of what MSU was back in the day. Michigan should win the game.

Listen we may not have much of a chance tomorrow but you are off base with the lack of heart comment. 25 point comebacks on the road, one this year and one last year do not indicate a lack of heart. Also, let's not forget that home win last year where we had to block a late field goal to preserve victory. Can't remember the opponent in that one.

Let's just face it. Rutgers sucks. Plain and simple.
