Calling the bowl game meaningless is being thrown out as justification for players to skip playing the Peach Bowl. But what defines a meaningless game?
We had 10 solid enjoyable wins but get blown out at OSU, does that now make every one of those 10 games meaningless? What is going to be the demeanor of the program if we lose the Peach Bowl versus if we win that game?
I thought this team had a special chemistry that was going to carry them to the promise land of the playoffs. I thought, for sure, we would be OSU. Players sitting out this bowl game tells me that chemistry wasn't all that real for all players. Certainly it was there for Winovich, Patterson and many others but lacked for some....enough for us to lose to OSU.
This bowl game is important for the final perception of this team, it is not a meaningless game.
