If reports are accurate, we have a large number (dozens?) of players who have tested positive and are out, per B1G protocols, for 21 days. We haven’t had team practices for more than a week and our Medical Director says it will be several more days before he’d feel comfortable authorizing team practices. That would bring us to this Friday, the travel day to get to Columbus. Ohio State may be largely recovered from it’s COVID outbreak prior to it’s cancelled game with Illinois over two weeks ago.
Would we really consider playing an almost full-strength Ohio State with a severely depleted roster and two full weeks without practice? What’s taken so long to announce the cancellation?
