winnable.

Michigan got off to a 2-0 lead in the first 5 or 6 minutes of the game. Ended the first leading 2-1.

Penn State tied the game at 2 in the second and even though they had a pretty poor period Michigan ended the period with a 3-2 lead.

Third was a barn burner. PSU tied the game at 3. Michigan took the lead back making it 4-3. Penn State was able to tie the game at 4 following a bad turnover along the boards with under 2 minutes to play.

Regulation ended in a 4-4 tie. Penn State scored on a wrap around early in the overtime to win the game 5-4.

This was a game that Michigan certainly could have won and if they had been a little better with the puck they may have just come away with what have been a big road win.

This was probably the first game of the year where Michigan got pretty badly out shot, I guess not that surprising when paying Penn State. The SOG were 54-35 (if i did the math right) in favor of PSU.

Michigan had some great pressure in the 3rd and came close to scoring several times, especially late in the 3rd when Calderone hit the cross bar so hard, it probably has a dent in it.

Well they get another shot at splitting this weekend tomorrow, game starts an hour later as there is a home football game at PSU .
