to play elsewhere. I did say someone would go AFTER the Spring practices. Now my other pick was Speight winning the job if not it goes to an incoming QB. Shane may go before Summer. I just don't se it in him. The previous reports when Hoke recruited him was strong arm, that's IT! He was great in 7 n 7's .

He go into games after Bellemy ! Why, if he was so good did he not jump out at us all after 3 years, while we saw what "Bell" could and could do ?

I still believe Coach Jim did look at the QB cutups and shook his head, spit in the garbage basket, maybe sore a bit, ( like Bo) and said, "we need several GOOD QBs to Win!"

Those that are there now are no where near the Don Morehead's of early Bo.

So you made the call that Bellomy would transfer two or three weeks AFTER it was announced he would transfer? good job

Today is the first day I read that story and did he say before LOI day? *

Shane hasn't even been here two full years and you are giving up on him? This seems odd to me, particularly because we've had erratic oline play over this time period which resulted in an anemic run game. I actually thought Shane was the lone bright spot in our bowl game against KSU last year. Given the lack of coaching under the previous regime, I'm open minded to all the players on our roster. Our previous coaches did no favors to the QB's on our roster, just look at the regression by Gardner. I actually think Shane might blossom under Harbaugh. He's certainly got talent and seems to be a competitor. Shane's going to get his moxy back with this coaching staff.

mailto:

Russell Bellomy has found his new home, and it's not far away from his old one.

The former Michigan quarterback announced Sunday night that he's transferring to the University of Texas-San Antonio to play his final season of football in 2015. Bellomy played high school football at Martin High School in Arlington, Texas.

Bellomy was eligible for a graduate transfer, and should be able to play immediately this season.

One of former Michigan coach Brady Hoke's first recruits in 2011, the 6-foot-3, 217-pounder had a disappointing four seasons, statistically, at Michigan.

For his career, Bellomy finished 4 of 23 for 46 yards and 4 interceptions. He opted to use his final year of eligibility elsewhere a few weeks after Jim Harbaugh was named the team's new coach.

UTSA, coached by former Miami head man Larry Coker, went 4-8 last season playing out of Conference USA.

I hope you are corect. I just feel he has been around a long time

and still is trying to 'pick up skills and fundamentals." I saw him the last 2 years at times. Didn't light the world on fire, and we were looking seriously at a change at QB.
I just don't know but he HAS the most experience. Hopefully Coach Jim gets him turned around. For Shane, it will feel like Christmas to get coached. "74

it was announced he was leaving the program 2-3 weeks ago....

maybe even a month ago. The article you copied states where he is transferring to.

Strange..You would think he would stay get some experience

From a Pro Coach...Very strange,,,,

you think it's strange that a 5th year senior buried on the depth chart wants to transfer so he can get some playing time? do you not follow college football closely?

Not strange at all. The poor guy JoePa'd (crapped his pants) every time he saw any playing time. He needed a change of scenery to a smaller school and lesser competition.

Yes he did - it was announced about a week after the JH hire that he was leaving Michigan so it's been known a while. I don't disagree with your Morris assessment - I think his mental makeup is lacking. I remember reading about Bellomy and how he would torment our D in practice and then he completely looked like a deer in headlights on the field - like the game was too big for him. I think Morris is somewhat that way - probably a strong arm, lacking accuracy though - however, he just does not seem like he has the mental makeup to turn it up a notch, etc - I remember with Henne you always saw that but you just did not with Morris last year. I hope he works on that because with 2 years under his belt, we would be far better off with a mentally tough Morris versus a first time starter but I have enough faith in JH that whomever starts at QB will have deserved it.

In the Nebraska game Bellomy may have been the worst looking college QB

I've ever seen. And yes, I've seen Bellisari and Stanley Jackson play.

Re: In the Nebraska game Bellomy may have been the worst looking college QB

While I agree, PSU this year had the potential to be just as bad. He was only 0-2, but both should have been picked, and one was a gimme pick 6. He also almost had a turnover on a running play.

Career stats: 4/23 for 46 yards, 0 TD, 4 picks. Career rating of -0.7

M&B my humble appologies. 1 wek after, Gosh talk about "tin

man". How can he leave before anything is done? No confidence and it showed. I wish him well. And I thank you for the update. I read that yesterday and felt is was a first time notice. GBGB"74

I have no idea what this means.

How can he leave before anything is done?
he left the program without knowing where he would end up. happens all the time.

I've been saying it since the head injury....

Shane Morris will never take a snap at Michigan. I look for him to be gone.
