Here are a few nuggets I've picked up this weekend. Don't worry, I'll still have Blue Chips tonight.
*** Michigan is gaining a lot of steam with three-star 2021 Clayton (Ohio) Northmont wide receiver Markus Allen. I'm close to putting in a FutureCast pick, but I'm not quite there yet. With that said, Allen just listed Michigan in his top schools, and he is building a great relationship with the staff, especially offensive coordinator Josh Gattis. He wants to visit Michigan as soon as the dead period is over with.
*** Michigan is also picking up steam with 2021 Clayton (Ohio) Northmont safety Rod Moore, who is a teammate of the aforementioned Allen. Moore is not ranked at this time, but he does holds more than 20 offers. Michigan head coach Jim Harbaugh actually jumped on the phone with Moore a few days ago and made his pitch for the Wolverines. Like Allen, Moore is looking to make a visit as soon as the dead period ends.
*** Speaking of safety targets, three-star 2021 McMurray (Pa.) safety Donovan McMillon named Michigan in his Top 15 this week. It's still early in the process with McMillon as the staff will continue to evaluate him. His list also happens to be huge, so it looks like he's in no hurry to make a decision either. With all of this said, there is mutual interest here. We'll see what progresses down the line.
*** Michigan made the Top 8 for Tulsa (Okla.) Union athlete AJ Green this week. Green is listed as a cornerback, but he is also attracting attention as a running back at the next level. Michigan has talked to him about both sides of the ball, and he has very high interest in the Wolverines. Expect Green to make a visit after the dead period. Having fellow Tulsa native Dax Hill on the roster will only help here.
