We need more 1 back sets

This running game will be most effective in a 1 back set.

It was painfully obvious where the run was going far too many times last night.
Forget execution, you can't stack Poggi in the 3 or 5 hole and run behind him, it will not work in 2015 - it's too obvious. I know Harbaugh loves the FB but its old school and we need more 1 back sets.

Also, Drake Johnson is far and away our best back. I'm not sure they will want to leave him uncovered with his injury history, but we have got to stop telegraphing plays.

It's difficult to run the ball with Rudock as the QB. If you noticed Utah showed no fear of the deep ball and had only one safety ten yards off the line of scrimmage. That means your trying to run against an 8 man in the box and some times 9.

All the teams we are going to face will do the same thing. They will bring the safeties up and essentially play 8-9 men in the box. This is the whole idea behind the MSU defense that OSU has copied. mid and deep passes are open all day. Many teams don't have the type of QB to complete them consistently.
