I was just thinking about all that Cade's probable emergence means to our offense.
We have spent the last 5 years hiding our qb and trying to establish the run to make it easier for him. Now it may be the other way around. We don't need to fall forward 2 yards to get our usual 2nd and 8. Then 2 more on second down for 3rd and 6. Once DC's see what he can do passing , the box will look a lot better when we do run.
When is the last damn time you weren't sure a 3rd and 7 meant a punt coming up ?
Take that fear out because Cade is capable of completing more of these situations...and...now we go deep more on early downs and get those defenders off the LOS for once. We just had a qb with one of the strongest arms in the country but never went deep because he was inaccurate and ...because THEY DIDN'T THINK HE COULD THROW FOR THE FIRST DOWN ON THIRD DOWN !
