No 2 loss teams have made the playoffs and it's very unlikely that a non-power 5 team gets in unless they are undefeated, with ND the exception...they could sneak in with 1 loss.

My top 24 based on play so far...
1. Bama just rolls everyone and they never stray too far from the throne of #1.
2. ND...wins over Michigan, Virginia Tech and Stanford gives them best resume so far.
3. OSU...wins over PSU and TCU
4. Georgia...we'll see how good they are in the next 4. @LSU, Florida, @Kentucky and Auburn
5. Clemson...close call to Syracuse and losing Bryant hurts their rating
6. West Virginia...the Big 12's best hope if they can run the table
7. NC State...square off with Clemson next week in Death Valley.
8. Colorado...the PAC 12's best hope out of the south is still unscathed.
9. UCF...3 man race in the AAC with Cincinatti and USF all undefeated.
10. USF...one team might emerge from the 6th best conference.
11. Cincinatti...but there can be only 1...maybe.
12. LSU by virtue of wins over Miami and Auburn best 1-loss team. Get Georgia at home next week.
13. PSU...tight loss to OSU gets them #2 of the 1-loss clubs.
14. Michigan...only loss to #2 ND.
15. Miami...only loss to #12 LSU
16. Washington...loss was to Auburn, who just joined the 2-loss club.
17. Florida...beat LSU, but lost to Kentucky
18. Kentucky...beat Florida, but lost to A&M
19. Wisconsin...loss to BYU
20. Oklahoma...escaped in OT vs. Army, lost at home to Texas. they won't be this low in the regular polls because they are Oklahoma.
21. Texas...beat OU but lost to Maryland at home.
22. Oregon..Blew it against Stanford in a game they should have won.
23. Washington St...Lost at USC
24. Iowa...blew their chance vs. Wisconsin at home.

You'll notice I put all the undefeated teams ahead of the 1-loss teams because they have a little more margin for error. And only one of the AAC teams will be there until the end unless they pick each other off. It would be difficult not to put UCF in after going undefeated last year and beating Auburn in the bowl game.

I have no doubt that we are in if we win out and think the playoffs will shake out like this...
1. Bama
2. ND
3. Clemson
4. Michigan/OSU winner

Our biggest threats are undefeated UCF, WVU, and Colorado, but we probably pass them all once they lose.
