is very disappointing. They remind me of a porous wobbly Jenga tower a block or two away from crumbling, desperately trying to shove blocks back into the foundation. Clearly their primary concern is to praise their head coach's handling of the situation and scramble to salvage what remains from a playoff contender just a short few years ago. After following that up with an offseason filled with chest pumping arrogance, they turned in last years clunker with rumors of bickering, selfish attitudes and now a rash of sexual abuse cases and bad behavior. So yesterday's meeting with the board and coach results in the boards unwavering support of their coach? They are above reproach, specifically with their head coach...that's what they wanted to go on record with? There is a potential victim that may be a part of their institution, with an alleged incident that occurred on their campus, and the DA just issued charges against their student athletes and the only thing they want to say is they are proud of the way their coach handled it. They even highlighted the fact that a sexual abuse training course was issued to the team just a week before the alleged incidents? Wow, just wow. This is so sad to watch. Save your coach, no mention of support for alleged victim, and turn your back on the very student athletes you begged to attend your institution not long ago. The boards only concerns are positive PR about at least one of their leaders in there institution doing something right (Hello any gymnastics coach? Or Football Director Of Player DEVELOPMENT) and trying desperately to hold onto their most successful football coach in years, may be ever. The desperation is starting to challenge and crack what little foundation of integrity that remain in that athletic department. At the very least, Hollis should be promoted to fan. SMH.
