What world does he live?

To say that Harbaugh only "whined" about calls for the loss and threw Blake under the bus is ridiculous. The officiating was a factor, and a big one. And not just the bad calls, but the disruption of the flow of the game. Duh-not why michigan lost. An unfortunate play with some missed opportunities to try and prevent (coaching/scheme). For Valenti to say that "we" as a fanbase are not questioning the messiah is a complete joke.

I dont live in Michigan, but my friends who are fans, this board, and twitter seem to demonstrate quite a bit of questioning as to the scheme and missed opportunity to max protect on that play.

Michigan did not get outplayed in that game. ridiculous. JH played a conservative game, and it hurt. I thought he would open it up, and did not. I dont know if that is because his ass was tight, or he really doesnt trust Jake to do it. Well, as someone else said, it's time. Let the D and ST keep you in games. See what you got.

Peppers needs to find the field on offense. He is flat out explosive and disruptive. I would even sacrifice some of his defensive time for more offense. The team needs a boost, and he can bring it. wildcat, running back, slot... I don't care. He could be what Antonio Bass was supposed to be prior to his crippling injuries.

Dantonio is the whiniest little biatch going. Bar none.

I agree, with what most of what you talk about here. However, Harbaugh needs to be questioned as to why no max protection on the final punt. Four Michigan player’s release with no return man for MSU? Harbaugh/Michigan staff had to know MSU was coming.

I'm sure he will. At the presser right after the game he really didnt have a chance to review the film to fully understand everything.

This is ridiculous. Valenti and sparty wants to talk about mich having "narratives", seems like sparty wants to talk about narratives.

The snap was dropped. Are you suggesting the coverage had something to do with that? It was a flat-out fluke play.

Valenti is being Valenti, no surprise there. Why would you expect different?

we can all speculate whether there was more trouble to be had the snap been caught cleanly.

I do believe there is some merit into discussing why they were clearly in a block scheme, and Mich wasnt in full out max protect.

There was already enough pressure on blake to catch it, and i'm sure he saw the hounds coming.

Right before it was snapped i remember looking at the snapper, and saying just make a good snap....

Last comment because the play is over.

IN hindsight, I actually now like the idea of running some deep post routes. Just have Jake chuck one as high and far as he could which would probably be to the end zone. That would have eaten 6 or 7 seconds, and I would roll the dice on a hail mary for one play.

Valenti is a clown. His show is sparty hour. Spartan fans never call the whole year till this game is played. His whole state of the state is a narrative a terrible bit.

Valenti flat out lied saying Harbaugh threw O'Neill under the bus. He did the exact opposite. Said over and over that we screwed up. I would have liked to hear Harbaugh more clearly say the entire alignment was a complete f-up but he did say multiple times that WE screwed up.

Just take the victory. No need to try to rationalize it and act like Sparty deserved to win. Nobody thinks that, but that shouldn't matter to you.

Sparty deserved to win. When a team can't finish out completely defeating an opponent, no matter what the circumstances, the other team deserves to win.

It is what it is. Michigan needed to play the final 10 seconds of football without allowing the opponent to score 2 or more points. Not that difficult a job considering Michigan already had the football and was in MSU territory.

Agreed, as I wrote in a different post. We needed to use 27 seconds in 4 plays (6.75 sec/play) to avoid punting altogether. We ran basically straight ahead for 8 yards beyond the LOS and 2 of those plays took 6 seconds, the other 5. If instead we run 3 sweeps designed to the far hash each time, staying behind the LOS and away from the defense and those longer runs take off the clock an extra second or 2 MAX, then the 4th down quandry occurs with 2 - 6 seconds on the clock. In which you repeat the sweep or kneel depending.

Also, I wish someone could say for certainty whether Cook was capable of throwing a spiral for 60 yds into that wind. It would be funny if he says after the season: "I'm glad they didn't run on 4th, I had no chance at an endzone heave with that blustering wind."

One lesson I learned a long time ago was that, You cannot change history. You learn from it and move on. The more you dwell on the past and what if's the less productive you are. I say move on with what you have learned and let it go. Agony will only be longer with the continued analysis and no ability to change it. Why continue to beat yourself up over and over.
