Disclaimer - we did not deserve to go to the World Cup. I am more than happy to let the old "veterans" who failed to never play again for the USMNT in a meaningful game again. The USMNT went downhill when their core guys, Altadore, Bradley, Dempsey, etc... left Europe for the MLS. Their play and passion decreased and it showed.
So we have an interim coach and played with a patched together team yesterday.
Caveat- Bolivia was terrible.
Okay, I liked what I saw. We played kids. Who cared, played well, showed pace and more talent than I expected. They moved the ball forward and showed some creativity. Other than Pulisic (who was totally gassed after league play), the forwards played well. And I love they are all based in Europe.
In 2 more years, these kids will be ready for qualifiers. And we will look like a competitive team again. In the meantime
