Brief assessment of UM commitments Joe Cecconi's and Cooper Marody's college prospects by Muskegon assistant coach Todd Robinson this past weekend:

I think Cecconi's going to do a great job in college hockey. . He plays huge minutes. He's a big body. He can play on the power play and the penalty kill. We use him in every situation. We look forward to watching him play at Michigan.

Cooper Marody is an uber-skilled player. When he puts it all together, it's a fun thing to watch. He brings a lot to the table and he's a competitive guy which is important with a skilled guy like him. I know he wants to be the best, so he's going to do everything he can to get there."

Two things to remember. 1) Michigan has a whole bunch of talented commits scheduled to come in over the next few years. It's probably unrealistic to expect them all to make it to Yost. 2) As talented as they all are, it's no guarantee that the talent will translate seamlessly to the college level.

Enjoy the anticipation and appreciate the players who can make the jump successfully.
